PETITION CIRCULATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. You may begin to circulate petitions on Tuesday, January 24, 2012.

2. The circulator of the petition must be a registered Republican of Pennsylvania’s new 3rd Congressional district.

3. The circulator may photocopy a petition without signatures, but it must be copied onto legal size paper exactly like the original. (Please note that the text on the front and back of the petitions is facing opposite directions and must do so on all copies.)

4. All persons signing the petition must be a registered Republican of Pennsylvania’s new 3rd Congressional district.

5. The person signing the petition, not the circulator, must complete all blocks in each line with ink.

6. The person signing should write his/her name and address the same way it appears on his/her voter registration card or application.

7. The person signing must write his/her municipality in the address – not the mailing address. For example – use Salem Township, not Greenville.

8. Ditto marks (" ") are not allowed.

9. Make sure persons signing write the correct date. All dates must be in chronological order – (1/24/12, 1/27/12, 2/5/12, etc.).

10. The person signing the petition must use his/her signature in the signature space, as well as print his/her name in the next space. The voter must personally enter all data.

11. Petitions must be notarized after the circulator is done collecting signatures. Do not sign as the circulator until you are in front of the notary. Do not get any more signatures once your petition is notarized.
